Video tutorial:
A Breastfeeding Break Request is used to formally notify the employer of the need to take breastfeeding breaks in accordance with applicable labour law regulations. This document enables the organisation of working time in a way that allows a breastfeeding employee to safely and comfortably meet her needs. The request serves as the basis for granting the appropriate breaks and recording them.
To create the request, select the appropriate option from the list of forms:
Select from the list of children to whom the request should apply:
NOTE: The list of children will only be displayed if the list of related persons is completed in the employee’s ORG profile (you can read more about this in the article: Employee Profile Description). If the list is not completed, a message will appear with a link to the ORG profile.
Go to the RIGHTS SCOPE tab. There, you will find two subsections: CHILD DATA and SCOPE OF RIGHTS.
Select the start date of validity:
In the CHILDREN DATA table, the children selected earlier will be displayed. You can edit the list by clicking the pencil icon.
Below the table with the list of children, two toggles appear to indicate whether the breaks should be separate or combined into one, and whether the break should be taken at the end or at the beginning of the workday.
If the option to combine breaks has been selected, the option to choose the break timing is not available.
Send the completed request for approval.
