An employee may combine parental leave with work for the employer providing this leave at a rate of no more than half of full-time. In this case, parental leave is granted for the remaining working hours.
To enable an employee to combine parental leave with work, open the employment document from the Dashboard (the square icon with an arrow next to the position title under the name).
Or the application view ORG: EMPLOYMENT. Find the employee’s employment document in the displayed list and open it.
Open the displayed document in edit mode with the button in the upper left panel. ln the EMPLOYMENT DETAILS section check the box COMBINING PARENTAL LEAVE WITH WORK.
After checking the box, a “+” button will appear. Click it to define the combination of leave and work.
In the displayed window, enter the start and end date of the validity period.
Expand the list in WORKING HOURS and select what amount of full-time work will be dedicated to parental leave. Note, the value cannot be greater than or equal to the working time standard defined in the employment document.
For example: if an employee is employed 3/4 full-time, he cannot assign 3/4 or more hours as work-combined leave.
If an employee is employed full-time and 1/2 full-time is selected in the window for defining work-combined leave, then in a given period, 4 hours will be graded as work and 4 as leave. If the employee is a 1/2-time employee and the combined leave is set to 1/4-time, then the employee will have 2 hours scheduled for work and 2 for leave (1/4 of the full-time leave [4 hours] is subtracted from the half-time [2 hours], resulting in 1/4 of the full-time [2 hours]).
In case more than one absence code is enabled to be combined with work, you will have the option to select the correct code from the list. Click ABSENCE CODE.
And select the correct code from the list.
Save the finished document.
The combined leave will display in the employment document.
You can add another combined leave period by going through the same steps. Note: the combined leave periods cannot overlap. To delete a leave row press the “-” button next to the corresponding leave row.
In the schedule, the combined leave icon is displayed in the absence column.
Adding another absence, on a day when there is a combined leave, is possible and will not cause an alert.
In the schedules view, the row of the period with a combined leave is highlighted in red and is marked with an icon, on hovering over which a message is displayed.
